Online Dating Profile/Client Manager (Fully Remote)

  • Do deadlines cower before you?

  • Are you that friend who does all of the planning… and may or may not keep everything in a color-coded spreadsheet?

  • Do you silently correct everyone’s grammar?

  • Do you feel energized by the art of clever banter?

If you answered yes to all of these questions, you’re a kick-ass writer, and you're looking for a way to both make money and help a lot of people, then I might be looking for you.

My business is continually growing, and I need a smart, talented, and focused online dating profile manager. (Please refer to the services page for a description of the service - digital matchmaking.) Essentially, clients outsource their online dating to us. We do the legwork; they go on the date. In this role, you’ll…

  • Log into clients’ online dating sites daily

  • Speak/type *as* the client (all genders, ages, orientations, etc.)

  • Set up dates (time, date, location, etc.)

  • Communicate directly with the client throughout the process

Requirements

  • Experience with online dating sites, including but not limited to, Bumble, Hinge, Coffee Meets Bagel, Match, Tinder, and Silver Singles. Mainly Bumble and Hinge.

  • A profound attention to detail and unmatched organizational skills (as in, you'll be managing multiple clients' accounts at the same time)

  • Time flexibility and the ability to email and text clients on demand

  • A knack for “getting” people and embodying them in your writing (and taking on the emotions of a client sometimes)

  • An openness to receiving constructive feedback

  • A positive attitude

  • A solid commitment to keep all client information confidential

To apply, please send a writing sample including:

  • One sample Bumble profile (just the "my bio" section) and Hinge profile (all three prompts): one for a 55-year-old woman and one for a 28-year-old man... you can make up the details

  • Four opening message examples that you would send to the profiles you've written above (two for each)

  • A one- or two-paragraph blog post on anything dating-related

  • One paragraph about any experience you’ve had with online dating and/or why this is the job you’ve been waiting for and can’t believe you’ve found

We want to see your writing skills (grammar, punctuation, knowledge of the language), humor, and general style. Do not send a resume. A clever email subject line or title to the blog post is always appreciated.

This is a part-time job (starting at $30/hour with growth potential) with the opportunity to become full-time, and the number of weekly hours will vary. We will reach back out if interested in an interview.

Applications due Friday, February 16th. Ready to Apply? Send to jobs@alittlenudge.com.
